"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way." This powerful promise from Psalms 37:23 forms the foundation of our exploration into walking in God's will. Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads, desperately seeking divine guidance? You're not alone.

Many believers struggle with discerning God's will, fearing they might make wrong turns or miss divine appointments. The good news is that God isn't hiding His plan from you—He's actively guiding those who seek Him. Through practical spiritual disciplines, we can position ourselves to recognize and follow His direction. By seeking God through prayer, studying Scripture, listening to the Holy Spirit's gentle nudges, and walking by faith rather than sight, we align ourselves with His perfect plan.

The biblical examples of Abraham, David, and Paul demonstrate that walking in God's will doesn't require complete understanding—just complete trust. Abraham followed God's call without knowing the destination. David waited patiently for God's timing to become king despite having opportunities to force matters. Paul embraced the Spirit's leading even when it meant facing persecution. Their stories remind us that when we surrender our plans to God and take one faithful step at a time, He directs our path. Whether you're facing major life decisions or simply seeking daily guidance, remember that you don't have to figure everything out at once. Just walk in obedience, trusting that as you seek Him, He delights in ordering your steps. Join us on this journey of faith as we learn to walk confidently in God's perfect will.

Walking in God's will. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way. Psalms 37, verse 23. Today we talk about walking in God's will. Have you ever asked yourself what is God's will for my life? This is a question many believers wrestle with. We want to make the right decision, follow the right path and avoid mistakes. But the good news is God is not hiding His will from us. Psalms 37, verse 23 says this verse reassures us that when we walk with God, he directs our steps. Even when we do not see the full picture, he is guiding our way. So how do we walk in God's will?

Speaker 1:

1. Seek God through prayer. Before making decisions, take time to pray and ask for His guidance. James 1.5 says If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God and it shall be given him. 2. Study His Word. God's will is often revealed through Scripture. When we spend time in His Word, we gain wisdom and direction. 3. Listen to the Holy Spirit. The Spirit leads and convicts us. When we feel God nudging us in a direction we must be willing to obey. 4. Walk by faith and not by sight. We may not always have every answer, but trusting God step by step, keeps us in the right path.

Speaker 1:

In the Bible we see many examples of people who walk in God's will. First, abraham he followed God's call even though he did not know where he was going. We see an example of that in Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 8. Second, david he waited for God's timing to become king, even when he had opportunities to take matters into his own hands. 1 Samuel, chapter 24, verse 6. And third, paul Paul followed the Holy Spirit's leading, even when it meant facing hardship and persecution. Acts, chapter 16, verse 6 to 10. Each of them trusted God and that God was directing their steps even when the path was unclear. Steps even when the path was unclear.
