Have you ever felt that your weaknesses disqualify you from experiencing God's power? This Faith for Every Day episode challenges that notion by exploring 2 Corinthians 12:9, where we discover that divine strength actually shines most brilliantly through our moments of vulnerability.

We often hide our struggles—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—believing they diminish our worth or effectiveness. Yet the apostle Paul's experience with his "thorn in the flesh" reveals a counterintuitive spiritual principle. When Paul repeatedly asked God to remove his limitation, he received an unexpected response: "My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Rather than eliminating Paul's struggle, God offered something more valuable—grace sufficient to carry him through it.

This perspective revolutionizes how we view our limitations. When we're strong, we naturally rely on ourselves, but our moments of weakness create space for experiencing God's power in unprecedented ways. Your exhaustion, uncertainty, or feelings of inadequacy aren't disqualifications—they're precisely the conditions where divine strength manifests most powerfully. God isn't waiting for you to get it together. He's inviting you to bring your honest struggles before Him, to lean fully into His grace, and to watch as He transforms your vulnerabilities into testimonies of His faithfulness. Whatever you're facing today, remember that His grace is always enough, and His strength never runs out.

Join us as we discover the profound freedom that comes from embracing our weakness as the perfect position to experience God's perfect strength. Share this episode with someone who needs encouragement in their struggle today!

Relying on God's strength in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12, verse 9. For he said unto me my grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12, verse 9. Welcome to day 168 of Faith for Every Day. Today's verse is one that meets us right in the middle of our weakness. It is not always easy to admit when we are struggling, is it? Whether it is physical, emotional, spiritual or something else entirely? Weakness is something we usually try to hide, but God's word has a different perspective. In 2 Corinthians 12, verse 9, the Lord says to Paul my grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Is that not something? God does not wait for us to be strong before he steps in. Instead, he works powerfully through our weaknesses. Paul, who wrote these verses, had what he called a tone in the flesh. We do not know exactly what it was, but it was something that made him feel limited, maybe even helpless. He asked God to take it away. But instead of removing the struggle, god gave him something greater, which is grace, and not just a little grace. God said my grace is sufficient. That means His grace is enough, enough to carry you through, enough to help you stand when you feel like everything is falling apart. Enough to calm your fears, when you feel overwhelmed. And here is the beautiful truth God's strength shines in our weaknesses. When we are strong, we might be tempted to lean on ourselves, but when we are weak, we have no choice but to lean fully on him, and that is when we truly experience god's power.

Maybe today you are feeling like you do not have much to offer. Maybe your energy is low, your heart is or your mind is clotted with worry. Friend, do not count yourself out. This is the very space where God loves to show up. His strength does not run out. His grace is not delayed. He is not willing for you to get tired or to get it all together. He is inviting you to rest in Him, just as you are. When you are weak, you are in the perfect position to experience His perfect strength. So today, be honest with God about what you are facing. Tell Him where it hurts, tell Him where you feel limited, and then trust Him to carry you through. Lean into His grace, let His strength meet your weakness and watch how he turns your struggle into a testimony. Thank you for joining me for day 168 of Faith for Every Day.
