Spending time in God’s Word is essential for spiritual growth, yet many people struggle with where to start. Some feel intimidated by the Bible’s depth, while others become discouraged or overwhelmed by life’s challenges. If you’ve ever felt that way, this devotional is for you.
"Faith for Every Day" is designed as a simple yet powerful guide to help you engage with Scripture daily. You don’t have to start on January 1st—this podcast is meant to be picked up at any time of the year. Each daily devotion stands on its own, addressing real-life struggles while pointing you back to God’s truth.
Throughout this journey, we will explore topics such as anxiety, depression, rejection, and uncertainty—struggles that are all too common today. But you’re not alone. The Bible is filled with stories of people who faced similar challenges and found strength in God. By looking at their experiences, we can find encouragement, hope, and guidance for our own lives.

Committing Your Plans to God for Clarity and Peace
Some plans sparkle on paper and still crumble in real life. We unpack why—and how Proverbs 16:3 offers a better way to build: commit your work to God first, then act with clarity and peace. Instead of hustling for certainty, we talk through a simple, repeatable rhythm—pray before you plan, invite God to refine the details, and let Him open or close the doors. That shift doesn’t shrink your ambition; it strengthens your foundation, aligns your motives, and lifts the pressure to force outcomes.
We walk through the difference between planning with God and planning around Him, from career moves to relationships to passion projects. You’ll hear practical checkpoints you can add to your week—how to test timing, how to spot a door that isn’t yours, and how to recognize established thoughts versus anxious noise. We share why surrender is not passivity but an active strategy that frees you to follow the One who sees the whole map, and how peace becomes the first sign you’re moving in step with His purpose.
If you’re standing at a crossroads with a plan that feels urgent, this conversation offers a path to durable, soul‑level success—less striving, more trust; fewer forced outcomes, more aligned results. Take a breath, bring your plans into prayer, and watch how clarity grows when you put them in the safest, wisest hands. If this helped reframe your next step, subscribe, share with a friend who’s planning big, and leave a review to tell us what you’re committing to God today.
Committing your plans to God, Proverbs 16, 3. Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16, verse 3. Hello and welcome to day 238 of Faith for Every Day. Today, we are talking about something that hits close to home for a lot of us, and that is planning. We all make plans. Some of us plan every hour of the day, others map out their whole future, college, career, marriage, success. And planning is not a bad thing. In fact, God encourages us to be wise, intentional, and prepared. But there is a difference between planning with God and planning around Him. Proverbs 16, verse 3 gives us a promise, commit thy works to the Lord, and your thoughts shall be established. In other words, if you lay your plans at God's feet and invite him into your process, he will bring clarity, direction, and establish your thinking. But if we charge ahead without checking with him first, no matter how good or exciting the plans look, we could end up confused, disappointed, or stuck. Let us be real. Have you ever made a plan that seemed perfect on paper, only to watch it fall apart in real life? Maybe it was a relationship, a job, a trip, or even a minister idea. It had momentum, it had promise, but it lacked God's stamp of approval. And when that happens, the weight of the outcome falls completely on your shoulders. That is why Proverbs 16:3 is not just a suggestion, it is a strategy. Commit your works unto the Lord means pray over your ideas before acting. It means saying, God, I trust you more than I trust my vision board. It means asking him to either open the door or close it if it is not in his best for you. Here is the beauty of surrender. God does not just cancel plans, he refines them, he shapes them, he strengthens them. When your plans are aligned with his purpose, they go further than you could have taken them on your own. And when he is involved, the pressure comes off. You do not have to force anything, you do not have to impress anyone. You simply follow the steps of the one who already sees the full map. Today, take a moment and ask yourself, have I committed my plans to the Lord? Or am I just hoping He blesses whatever I come up with? It is not too late to hit pause, surrender your works and say, Lord, I give this to you. Align my heart with your will, establish my thoughts. That is where peace begins, and that is where success becomes eternal. Thank you very much for joining me for day 238 of faith for every day. Whatever you are planning, big or small, do not do it without God. When you put it in His hands, you are not losing control, you are placing it in the safest, wisest, and most loving hands that there are. Thank you very much for listening, and I'll see you tomorrow.
