When the next step feels hazy, the promise that “the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord” can steady your heart and pace. We open Psalms 37:23 and build a practical roadmap for discernment you can use today—before you send the application, make the call, or choose the path. Our conversation moves from the big question—What is God’s will for my life?—to four simple practices that align decisions with God’s heart: seek Him in prayer, anchor in Scripture, listen to the Holy Spirit, and walk by faith when details are thin.

We share how prayer turns panic into alignment, why James 1:5 makes wisdom accessible, and how regular time in the Word trains your instincts so red flags and green lights become clearer. You’ll hear how the Spirit guides in real time, sometimes by a nudge to act and other times by a closed door that protects you. Along the way, we draw strength from Abraham stepping out without a map, David refusing shortcuts while he waited for God’s timing, and Paul following the Spirit even through hardship. These stories aren’t distant; they model the kind of obedience that shapes character as much as outcomes.

If you’re at a crossroads—career shift, relationship decision, or a move you can’t quite name—we offer simple steps to surrender your plan, ask for peace that rules your heart, and take the next faithful move without fear of missing God. You’ll leave with language to pray, passages to hold, and a calm confidence that God delights to guide. Walking in God's will. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way. Psalms thirty-seven, verse twenty-three. Today we talk about walking in God's will. Have you ever asked yourself, What is God's will for my life? This is a question many believers wrestle with. Psalms 37 verse 23 says, The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way. This verse reassures us that when we walk with God, He directs our steps. Even when we do not see the full picture, he is guiding our way.

SPEAKER_01:

So, how do we walk in God's will? 1. Seek God through prayer.

SPEAKER_02:

Before making decisions, take time to pray and ask for his guidance. James chapter 1, verse 5 says, If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God, and it shall be given him.

SPEAKER_01:

2. Study His Word. God's will is often revealed through Scripture. When we spend time in His Word, we gain wisdom and direction. 3. Listen to the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_02:

The Spirit leads and convicts us. When we feel God nudging us in a direction we must be willing to obey.

SPEAKER_01:

4. Walk by faith and not by sight.

SPEAKER_02:

We may not always have every answer, but trusting God step by step keeps us in the right path.

SPEAKER_01:

In the Bible, we see many examples of people who walked in God's will. First, Abraham. He followed God's call, even though he did not know where he was going.

SPEAKER_02:

We see an example of that in Hebrews chapter 11, verse 8. Second, David waited for God's timing to become king, even when he had opportunities to take matters into his own hands.

SPEAKER_01:

And third, Paul.

SPEAKER_02:

Paul followed the Holy Spirit's leading, even when it meant facing hardship and persecution. Acts chapter 16, verse 6 to 10. Each of them trusted God, and that God was directing their steps even when the path was unclear. Maybe you are at a crossroads in your life, unsure of what to do next. Maybe you are struggling with a big decision. The key is to trust God and His leading. Keep seeking Him, stay in His Word, and take each step in faith. Today, I encourage you to surrender your plans to God. Ask Him to lead you and give you peace about the direction He wants you to take. Remember, you do not have to figure it all out. Just walk in obedience one step at a time. Thank you very much for joining us today on day 49 of Faith for Every Day. As you go about your day, trust that God is ordering your steps. May He bless and guide you in every decision you take today. See you next time. Thank you for listening to the Bible.
