When you feel stretched thin, the most common instinct is to try harder and hold it all together. But what if the very thing you’re trying to hide, your weakness, is where God’s strength shows up most clearly? That’s the hope we sit with today as we ground ourselves in Philippians 1:6 and the promise that God finishes what He starts.

We talk honestly about the moments that make us feel like we’re not strong enough: the weight of responsibilities, the sting of failure, and the frustration of slow progress. Then we reframe the pressure with a simple, steady truth: the good work God began in you is not dependent on your perfection. He is faithful to carry it through, which means you don’t have to carry your faith like a burden you might drop.

We also lean into 2 Corinthians 12:9, where God tells Paul that His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness. From there, we offer practical ways to rely on God’s strength in daily life: acknowledge your limits, keep trusting God’s process, and redefine what “strength” looks like in the kingdom of God. Sometimes strength is moving forward. Sometimes it’s waiting, listening, and surrendering.

Feeling Overwhelmed And Not Enough

Weakness Is Where God Works

You Are Not Defeated Closing Charge

God's strength in your weakness. Philippians chapter 1 verse 6. Being confident of this very thing that he which had begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Hello and welcome to day 95 of faith for every day. Today we are leaning into the truth that brings so much hope and encouragement, God's strength in your weakness. Let me ask you this question. Have you ever felt like you are just not strong enough to handle what's in front of you? Maybe you have felt overwhelmed by the weight of responsibilities, discouraged by failure, or frustrated by slow progress. If you have ever been there, and I think we all have at some point, then today's scripture is just for you. Philippians 1, verse 6 says, Being confident in this very thing, that he which had begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. In other words, God started the work in your life, and he is the one who will carry it through to completion. It is not all on your shoulders. You know, sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking we have to be strong all the time. We think we have to figure everything out, hold it all together, and never let anyone see us struggle. But here is the truth: your weakness is not the end of the story. It is actually where God's strength shows up the most. In 2 Corinthians 12, verse 9, Paul shares what God told him, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. That means your weakness is not something to hide or to be ashamed of. It is the very place where God loves to work. So, how do we lean into God's strength when we feel weak? Here are a few thoughts to keep in mind. Acknowledge your limits. Recognizing that we need Him. 2. Trust that God finishes what He starts. The good work that God had begun in your life is not dependent on your perfection. He is the one who is faithful to bring it to completion. Your job is to keep trusting, keep showing up, and keep walking in Him. Remember that strength looks different in God's kingdom. Sometimes strength is not about charging forward. Sometimes it is about waiting patiently, but about being still and listening. Strength in God's eyes is often quite humble and surrendered. I want to remind you today, you are not running this race alone. The one who called you, the one who formed you, the one who saved you, He is the one holding you up. Even when you feel like you are at the end of the rope, God's strength is right there, pulling you through. You may feel weak, but you are not defeated. God's power is working in you and He will never give up on the good work He has started. Thank you very much for joining me today on day 95 of Faith for Every Day. As you step into this day, lean on God's strength, not your own. Let his grace carry you and be confident in this truth. The good work that God has started in you, He will surely complete it. Until next time, may His strength be your strength.
