Sin doesn’t just tempt us, it tries to take the throne. Romans 6:14 pushes back with a promise that can change how you wake up, how you think, and how you recover when you’ve fallen: sin will not have dominion over you when you’re under grace. We talk plainly about the daily fight every believer knows and why your identity, your future, and your freedom are not decided by yesterday’s failure when you’re in Christ.

We unpack what grace actually means for Christian living. Grace is not a loophole and it’s not a religious pressure cooker. It’s the power of God that breaks sin’s grip and helps you live the life God calls you to live. We also get practical about what “victory over sin” can look like on a normal day: walking away from a tempting situation, shutting down a destructive thought, or turning off a conversation that’s headed the wrong direction.

You’ll hear clear next steps for spiritual growth and overcoming temptation: stay connected to Jesus through prayer, worship, and Scripture; rely on the Holy Spirit to resist temptation; refuse isolation because sin loves secrecy; and renew your mind daily with truth. If you’ve been stuck in guilt or shame, we end with hope you can stand on: you are not too far gone, forgiveness is real, and Christ’s finished work gets the final word. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find freedom.

Victory over sin. Romans chapter six verse fourteen. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans chapter six verse fourteen. Hello and welcome to day ninety-six of faith for every day. Our focus today is on something every believer wrestles with every single day. Sin. And more importantly, how to walk in victory over sin. Romans chapter 6 verse 14 gives us an amazing promise. It says, For sin shall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under the law, but under grace. That means sin is no longer your master. It does not control your life, your identity, or your future. Not if you are in Christ. Let's break this down. Sin used to have a strong grip on us before we came to know Jesus. But when we accepted Him as our Lord and Savior, something powerful happened. It broke the power of sin. That does not mean we will never struggle or stumble, but it does mean we do not have to be sucked in guilt, shame, or defeat. We are under grace now, and grace changes everything. Grace is not permission to live however we want, it is the power to live the way God has called us to live. So, what does victory over sin look like in everyday life? It may not always be dramatic. Sometimes it is the quiet choice to walk away from a tempting situation. Sometimes it is saying no to a destructive thought or turning off a conversation that is heading in the wrong way. Here are a few ways to walk in victory. 1. Stay connected to Christ. Victory comes from relationship, not religion. When you spend time with Jesus through prayer, worship, and the word, you begin to think, speak, and live like Him. Lean on the Holy Spirit. You do not have to fight sin on your own. The Holy Spirit empowers you to resist temptation and live righteously. Galatians 5, verse 16 says, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Do not walk in isolation. Sin loves secrecy, but freedom grows in honesty. Talk with someone you trust, whether it is your pastor, your mentor, or friend who can encourage you and hold you accountable. Renew your mind daily. Romans 12, verse 2 reminds us that transformation happens when we renew our minds. Fill your thoughts with truth. Feed your spirit with God's word. I want you to know something. No matter what your past looks like, no matter how many times you have messed up, you are not too far gone. There is forgiveness, there is freedom, there is victory through Jesus Christ. And this victory is not based on your performance, it is based on his finished work at the cross. Sin does not get the final say. Grace does. You may have struggled yesterday, but today is a new day. You are not bound, you are not helpless, you are not defeated. You are an overcomer through Christ. Thank you very much for joining me today on day 96 of faith for every day. Today, walk boldly in the truth that sin no longer rule over you. Christ has won the victory, and by his grace you can walk in freedom. Until next time, stay strong, stay focused, and stay anchored in Christ.
