Faith for Everyday
Faith for Everyday is a daily podcast dedicated to guiding youth through modern challenges with timeless Biblical wisdom. Each approximately 10-minute episode offers scriptural insights and practical encouragement to strengthen faith in everyday life. New episodes are released daily.
Spending time in God’s Word is essential for spiritual growth, yet many people struggle with where to start. Some feel intimidated by the Bible’s depth, while others become discouraged or overwhelmed by life’s challenges. If you’ve ever felt that way, this devotional is for you.
"Faith for Every Day" is designed as a simple yet powerful guide to help you engage with Scripture daily. You don’t have to start on January 1st—this podcast is meant to be picked up at any time of the year. Each daily devotion stands on its own, addressing real-life struggles while pointing you back to God’s truth.
Throughout this journey, we will explore topics such as anxiety, depression, rejection, and uncertainty—struggles that are all too common today. But you’re not alone. The Bible is filled with stories of people who faced similar challenges and found strength in God. By looking at their experiences, we can find encouragement, hope, and guidance for our own lives.
Whether you’re a new believer seeking direction or a seasoned Christian looking for fresh inspiration, this podcast will meet you where you are. My prayer is that as you go through these devotionals, you will be encouraged to dig deeper into God’s Word, grow in faith, and draw closer to Him daily.
Let’s embark on this journey together—one day at a time, one step closer to God.

Keeping Your Heart Set On Heaven
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Your focus is shaping your life more than you think. I’m spending Day 149 of Faith For Every Day on a single line that can re-center a distracted heart: Colossians 3:2, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” That simple instruction carries life-changing impact because it tells us what deserves the most weight when everything around us competes for attention.
We talk honestly about how easy it is to get pulled into the temporary: money, possessions, status, approval, comfort, and a thousand smaller distractions that aren’t always “bad,” but still aren’t eternal. When those things become our main focus, we lose sight of God’s bigger picture and start living as if today is the whole story. Choosing an eternal perspective means choosing to value what God values and shifting our attention from what is fading to what is everlasting.
I also share a vivid way to think about it: life is like traveling. You can enjoy the journey, but you don’t forget your destination. We’re passing through, citizens of heaven, and that truth changes how we live on an ordinary Tuesday. It helps us forgive more easily, give more freely, and walk with peace in trials because this world is not our home. We close with a heart-check question you can carry into your day: where is your affection set right now?
If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend who feels pulled in every direction, and leave a quick review so more people can find these daily devotionals.

The Call To Eternal Perspective
SPEAKER_01an eternal perspective. Colossians chapter 3 verse 2. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians chapter 3 verse 2. Hello and welcome to day 149 of faith for every day.
Colossians 3:2 As A Compass
SPEAKER_01Today we are focusing on the power of perspective, specifically on eternal perspective. In Colossians chapter 3, verse 2, Paul writes, Set your affection on things above, not on the things on the earth. This is a simple instruction, but it has life-changing impact. It reminds us to keep our hearts and mind focused on what truly matters.
The Pull Of Temporary Things
SPEAKER_01Life is full of distractions. It is easy to get caught up in the temporary money, possessions, status, approval, comfort, and the list goes on. These things are not always bad, but they are not eternal. And when we focus on and when our focus is entirely on earthly things, we can lose sight of God's bigger picture. Paul encourages us to set our affection on things above. That means choosing to value what God values. It means shifting our focus from what is fading to what is everlasting.
Travelers With A Destination
SPEAKER_01Think about it like this. When you are traveling, you might enjoy the journey, but you never forget your destination. You are passing through. That is exactly what life is like. We are travelers, citizens of heaven, just passing through.
Forgiveness Giving And Peace In Trials
SPEAKER_01Keeping an eternal perspective changes how we live daily. It helps us forgive more easily because we are not holding on to temporary offenses. It helps us give more freely because we know our treasure is in heaven. It gives us peace in trials because we remember this world is not our home. And when we live with heaven in mind, it shows in how we treat people, how we spend our time, and how we respond to life's ups and down.
Heart Check And Closing Charge
SPEAKER_01So today, let us ask, where is my affection set? Am I clinging too tightly to the things of this world? Or am I keeping my eyes fixed on Christ and the eternal life that He has promised? Living with eternal perspective does not mean we ignore our responsibilities here on earth. It means we give them out with a greater purpose, knowing everything we do for God matters forever. Thank you very much for joining me for day 149 of faith for every day. Let your heart be anchored in heaven, even while your feet walk on earth. Keep your eyes on what is eternal and let that perspective guide everything you do. Until next time, keep growing in grace and walking in truth. Thank you very much for listening.
